Assistant Project Manager

Our client, a leading water sector specialist are seeking an Assistant Project Manager ideally located in the Sussex area.Ideally candidates will have a technical background (Mechanical, Electrical, ICA) and previous experience of working within the water sector.Overview An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of projects across the South. This role is ideal for a Junior Project Engineer or Project Engineer seeking progression into a project management position. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating project activities, managing resources, maintaining compliance, and ensuring client satisfaction while supporting delivery to programme and budget targets. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee site teams and specialist subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently Prepare, maintain and update core project documentation throughout the project lifecycle Monitor project costs, track expenditure and support financial control processes Maintain regular communication with clients and key stakeholders, building strong professional relationships Contribute to structured monthly reporting on project performance, risks and progress Support environmental protection measures and ensure works minimise environmental impact Assist in managing operational and maintenance (OandM) deliverables in line with programme deadlines Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation ..... full job details .....
