ASSISTANT PRODUCTIONS MANAGER - 34,659 TO 36,359 (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND FLT/BENDI LICENCE) BASED WATTON/THETFORD - PERMANENT FULL TIME - MONDAY TO FRIDAY 7.30AM TO 5PM. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be required to perform the following key job functions: Role Purpose The Assistant Production Manager is a vital role within our operations. You will be expected to work directly on the production lines while simultaneously overseeing a small, fast-paced team. Your goal is to assist in ensuring that production targets are met, quality is uncompromised, and the unit operates smoothly. Key Responsibilities Shop Floor Leadership and Operations Active Production: Work "hands-on" on the production lines to maintain output. Team Supervision: Oversee a small team, ensuring staff are working efficiently and meeting hourly/daily targets. Technical Proficiency: Operate all production machinery (following training) and assist with basic maintenance to minimize downtime. Labelling : Manage overprinting tasks using specialized printers and NiceLabel / NiceLabel Design software. Staff Development: Assist with the training and on boarding of new team members, ensuring they are quickly up to speed on safety, quality, and operational standards. Quality Control and Dispatch Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure every product meets company standards before leaving the unit.
