K.A.G Recruitment are delighted to bring you a fantastic exclusive opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Production Manager to join one of Europe''s leading privately-owned food manufacturers based in Doncaster.Position: Assistant Production ManagerLocation: DoncasterSalary: £35,000 - £42,000 DOE plus KPI BonusHours: 42 hours per weekReporting to: Production ManagerPurpose of the RoleSupporting the Production Manager, you will take responsibility for a designated production area, ensuring customer orders are produced efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities• Manage the day-to-day operation of a designated production department.• Ensure production plans are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.• Communicate production schedules and daily targets to Team Leaders.• Monitor departmental KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.• Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders and Production Operatives.• Manage labour planning and departmental staffing levels.• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, GMP and Health and Safety procedures.• Liaise with Technical, HR, Training and Health and Safety teams.• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.• Produce accurate reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.Skills and ExperienceYou will have previous supervisory or management experience within a fast-paced Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment, with a proven ability to lead and motivate production teams.
