Assistant Practice Manager

Bristol Permanent £45,000 - £60,000 Are you a fully Chartered Accountant with strong, recent, Accountancy Practice experience, ready to take the next step towards Practice Manager? T his is a crucial hire for a growing, ambitious accountancy practice in Bristol. You will work closely with the Directors, supporting the leadership of the firm and playing a key role in its continued growth and development. This is not a "review-only" position. The firm is seeking someone hands-on, commercially minded, and ambitious - An individual who wants to build a long-term future and progress into a Practice Manager position. The Role Supporting the Directors with the day-to-day running of the practice Managing a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Preparing and reviewing bookkeeping and management accounts Reviewing and overseeing VAT returns and compliance work Attending client meetings and building strong, lasting relationships Supporting, mentoring, and helping to train junior team members Contributing to the growth and strategic development of the firm Candidate Profile Fully Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA) - Essential Minimum 5 years'' recent experience within an accountancy practice Confident working in a hands-on capacity (not solely reviewing work) Strong experience with bookkeeping, management accounts, and client advisory Commercially aware, proactive, and solutions-focused Ambitious, energetic, and personable with ..... full job details .....
