Assistant Planner

We are working with a well-established independent planning consultancy in Dorset that is looking to appoint a Town Planner to support a growing pipeline of residential, commercial and rural planning projects across the South West. Town Planner DorsetCompetitive salary + benefitsHybrid working available The successful candidate will work closely with experienced planning professionals, landowners, developers and private clients on a varied caseload that includes: Residential developments Rural and agricultural projects Commercial schemes Change of use applications Appeals and site appraisals Local plan representations and strategic planning work The Role Preparing and submitting planning applications Managing projects from initial appraisal through to determination Liaising with local authorities, consultants and stakeholders Producing planning statements and supporting documentation Attending client meetings and site visits Supporting senior team members on larger strategic projects About You Degree qualified in Town Planning or related discipline MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership Previous experience within either consultancy or local authority planning Strong report writing and communication skills Commercial awareness and a proactive ..... full job details .....
