Assistant / Junior MEP CAD & Revit Technician

Location: Near Sittingbourne

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for an Assistant / Junior level CAD & Revit Technician to join their Building Services Design team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career within Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) design, working on a variety of commercial and residential projects.

This position offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment, working closely with experienced engineers and technicians while developing strong technical skills in industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and develop detailed 2D CAD drawings and 3D Revit models for MEP building services projects
• Create coordinated design layouts covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection systems, and related services
• Amend and update drawings/models to reflect design revisions, client input, and project progression
• Assist with coordination activities, including identifying and resolving clashes between building services and other disciplines such as structural and architectural designs
• Ensure all outputs align with project requirements, relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal quality procedures
• Support the preparation of technical information including schedules, documentation, and as-built drawings, using marked-up drawings or site measurements where required
• Provide assistance to engineers throughout design development and project delivery stages
• Maintain organised project records, ensuring revisions and drawing registers are accurately controlled
• Attend internal and external coordination meetings when required

About You

• Some experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit (academic training or work experience considered)
• Interest in building services / MEP design
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Ideally located within commuting distance of Sittingbourne or surrounding areas
