We''re recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join an exciting new sportswear and fashion pop-up store in Portsmouth.

This is a 4-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent as the business continues to grow.

We''re looking for an experienced Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or Supervisor who can support the Store Manager, lead the team and help deliver a successful new store opening.

The Role

As Assistant Manager, you''ll work closely with the Store Manager to support the day-to-day running and performance of the store.

You''ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store
  
• Leading, motivating and coaching the retail team
  
• Driving sales and delivering against KPIs and targets
  
• Providing an excellent customer experience
  
• Supporting visual merchandising and brand standards
  
• Managing stock, deliveries and store operations
  
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training
  
• Coaching the team to maximise sales and performance
  
• Taking a hands-on approach on the shop floor
  
• Supporting the Store Manager and taking responsibility for the store in their absence
  

About You
You''ll ideally have:

• Previous Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Supervisor or Senior Sales experience
  
• Experience leading or supervising a retail team
  
• A strong understanding of retail KPIs and sales targets
  
• A customer-focused approach
  
• Experience with stock management and day-to-day store operations
  
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
  
• A hands-on approach to retail
  
• An interest in sportswear, fashion, fitness or performance retail
  

This is a great opportunity to be part of a new store opening in Portsmouth, with the potential to continue with the business beyond the initial 4-month contract.
