The Role

As Assistant Manager, you''ll work closely with the Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the store, motivate the team and drive commercial performance.

You''ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and improving retail KPIs

• Leading, motivating and coaching the team to deliver excellent performance

• Delivering outstanding customer service and building customer loyalty

• Leading by example on the shop floor to maximise sales opportunities

• Supporting team recruitment, training, onboarding and development

• Maintaining excellent visual merchandising and store presentation standards

• Ensuring customers receive knowledgeable advice on products, features and availability

• Promoting multi-channel shopping options to enhance the customer experience

• Supporting stock management, replenishment and store operations

• Assisting with rotas, payroll and controlling store costs

• Maintaining company policies, procedures and brand standards

• Taking responsibility for the store in the Store Manager''s absence

About You

We''re looking for a motivated and commercially aware Assistant Manager who enjoys leading from the front and helping a team achieve its potential.

You''ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader within retail

• Experience in fashion, lifestyle, clothing, footwear, accessories or premium retail

• A track record of delivering excellent customer service and supporting sales performance

• Strong communication and team leadership skills

• Experience coaching, motivating and developing colleagues

• Commercial awareness and an understanding of retail KPIs

• An eye for detail and an appreciation of visual merchandising

• A proactive, hands-on approach to retail management

• The flexibility and organisation needed to thrive in a busy retail environment

This role would suit an existing Assistant Store Manager or Deputy Manager, or an experienced Retail Supervisor or Team Leader ready to take the next step in their career.
