Assistant Manager - Credit Risk Modelling

The Credit Risk Assurance team is a specialized function within KPMG''s Audit Practice, responsible for reviewing and challenging complex statistical models used in audited entities as part of the financial audit process. Our team comprises credit risk analysts from diverse backgrounds, including mathematics, engineering, physics, econometrics, and statistics.

Responsibilities

Assess client model documentation (development, validation, monitoring) against accounting standards and industry practices.

Annotate code produced by audited entities and reconcile code functionality with documentation.

Reperform outputs of audited entity''s code using appropriate software.

Independently estimate model outputs using separate assumptions.

Organize and execute workstreams for the above tasks.

Manage and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

Knowledge of relevant accounting and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS9, CECL).

Proficiency in statistical techniques in credit risk modeling (LGD, PD, EAD).

Ability to read, interpret, and develop software code in SAS, Python, or R.

Experience managing small teams and mentoring.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Extras
