Overview
The Credit, Capital and Structuring Team forms part of Deloitte''s Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory Practice and is a centre of excellence across regulatory capital and prudential matters, as well as derivatives regulation. Using this expertise we support firms in: Basel 3.1 and CRDVI implementation; responding to regulator feedback on prudential compliance; acting as skilled person or preparing firms for skilled persons reviews predominantly in regulatory reporting and capital compliance; engaging with firms instigating changes to their legal entity structure; and supporting mergers and acquisitions in the banking and investment management sector.Responsibilities
Lead client projects by managing client relationships, developing the scope and engagement plan, managing team members, engagement financials, and overseeing the production of high quality deliverables.Work with a range of client stakeholders, being seen as a subject matter expert within client organisations and by colleagues, developing and maintaining deep industry relationships and knowledge.Contribute to the development and growth of the practice by sharing knowledge, setting an example, and helping team members to develop through training and talent initiatives.Co-ordinate internal practice development by participating in proposition, methodology and point of view development activities and supporting knowledge capture and sharing.Establish and build a network of contacts across Deloitte and peer networks within our clients.Develop proposals for new client opportunities and have an integral role in industry and account initiatives.Connect to your skills and professional experience
We encourage applicants who come from either consulting or industry backgrounds. To qualify for the role candidates will have the following skills and experience:Previous advisory, consulting or internal project or programme experience in Capital Markets;A strong understanding of Front Office activities and the ability to identify associated risks and effective mitigants;Solid understanding of the regulatory environment and the core principles of risk management and governance for financial institutions;Demonstrable strong core project management skills, ability to prepare impactful presentation materials, ability to interpret and analyse large data sets, ability to manage bids / proposals / business cases / project financials;Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on high-profile and complex transformation engagements in a fast-paced project environment;Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a significant and demanding workload under pressure;Ability to build strong relationships and work with senior stakeholders at and above the Director level both internally and externally;The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences, including the impact of regulatory change or communication of regulatory expectations;Experience of developing junior staff and mentoring team members; andAbility to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver effectively to ambitious requirements.Connect to your business - Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory
