Assistant Manager - Accounting Services Salary up to £50k (DOE) Location: Birmingham/Flexible Working Butler Rose Recruitment is delighted to be supporting our client in the appointment of an Assistant Manager - Accounting Services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant ready to take the next step into management, or an existing Assistant Manager looking to further develop their leadership skills within a supportive and growing practice. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, review technical work, support and develop junior team members, and work closely with senior leadership to deliver exceptional client service. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative practice environment. Role Requirements: Managing a portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnership. Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS 102/FRS 105. Reviewing bookkeeping and management accounts prepared by junior team members. Supporting the day-to-day supervision, coaching and development of Junior Accountants, Apprentices and other members of the team. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships. Providing business advisory support, identifying opportunities to add value.
