Assistant Manager (Accountancy Practice)

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to join a supportive firm with a strong client base and clear career progression opportunities.

The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services. The role involves hands-on client work, supervising junior team members, and contributing to the growth of the practice.

Your key responsibilities as the Assistant Manager will be:

• Manage a portfolio of clients and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns.
• Provide accounting and advisory support to clients across a range of industries.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Assist with business development initiatives and contribute to practice growth.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

You will require the following skills and experience to be considered for the role of Assistant Manager:

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience in a UK practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting, auditing, and tax compliance.
• Excellent client management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload.
