Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant Salary: Up to £45,000 base (depending on experience)We are looking for an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join our growing team. This is a varied, client-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with a diverse portfolio of businesses and is looking for more variety and responsibility than a traditional role offers.The RoleYou will take responsibility for delivering high-quality accounting and advisory support to a range of clients, while overseeing and developing junior team members. Key responsibilities include:Preparation and review of management accounts, including KPIs, cash flows, budget vs actuals and forecastingReviewing and overseeing the work of the junior (transactional processing) teamTraining, mentoring and developing junior team membersPayroll reviewsMaintaining and updating clients'' accounting recordsAccurate preparation and review of VAT returnsSupporting clients to improve internal accounting processes and proceduresProviding interim management accounting (AMA) support to clients as requiredAbout YouThe successful candidate will have a strong technical grounding, combined with excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach. You will ideally have:Solid experience in bookkeeping and VAT return preparationStrong working knowledge of VAT (advantageous)Experience preparing management accounts, including KPIs, cash flows and budget vs actualsGood payroll knowledge and experience ..... full job details .....
