Assistant Management Accountant

KCR Solutions are assisting this well-established manufacturing business based in Washington, in their search for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to further develop their management accounting skills within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, operational analysis and supporting business performance. The Role Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts. Producing variance analysis and investigating any significant movements against budget and forecast. Providing margin analysis to support profitability and operational decision-making. Maintaining and reporting on key business KPIs. Supporting product costing and cost analysis activities. Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes. Preparing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. Analysing production and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Supporting month-end close activities and ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved. Assisting with cash flow reporting as required. Providing financial support to operational stakeholders across the business.
