Assistant Management Accountant Location: SwindonReporting to: Management AccountantSalary: up to 40k per annumType: Full-time Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Swindon.Job Purpose Help produce accurate monthly and year-end financial reports.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Work with managers to provide financial insight and support decision-making. Main Duties Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts.Handle prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.Support internal/external audits and answer finance-related queries.Assist with creating budgets and updating financial forecasts.Provide technical accounting support and cover VAT submissions.Work on finance-related projects and provide cover for senior finance staff when needed.Requirements AAT Level 4 / ACCA / Part CIMA qualified or equivalent3 years experience within a similar role.Skilled in Excel and experienced in producing accurate financial reports.Able to explain finance to non-finance colleagues clearly.Organised, self-motivated, and flexible during busy periods.Full rights to work within the UK.If this role is of interest, please apply to this advert with your CV.Important NoticeDovetail and Slate is a market-leading education recruitment company, specialising in the supply of staff across all areas of the education sector - including teaching, student support, and non-teaching roles.
