Eaton Syalon are working with a business in Nottingham to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant into their finance team.-

This role will suit candidates who are AAT qualified and looking to take on further study, or those who are currently studying CIMA/ACCA and are keen to continue.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ownership of prepayments and accruals
- Process sales invoices, monitor the AR ledger and promptly chase overdue debts
- Prepare and post journals (accruals, prepayments, recharges) with detailed working papers
- Review expense claims and ensure appropriately processed in accordance with the policy
- Post non-system generated bank postings and reconcile all bank accounts
- Create, dispose and depreciate fixed assets in accordance with policy and maintain the register
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to process improvements and problem-solving within the finance function
- Support month-end closing activities and provide assistance during audits
- Support with ad-hoc analysis work
- Assist with the processing of supplier invoices and purchase order creation (primarily as cover for the Accounts Payable Assistant)

Person Profile:

- AAT qualified and ideally started studying towards CIMA or ACCA
- Strong Excel skills - including Pivot Tables & V Look Ups
- Experience with an ERP is desirable-
- Must be able to work to tight deadlines in an often pressured environment-
- You must have the want to learn and develop your current skill set and be able to take onboard constructive feedback in order to foster professional growth-

This role will offer the successful candidate the chance to develop their skills across management and financial accounting. You''ll be working closely with a Management Accountant who is really keen to support and develop the successful candidate.-

*Due to the location of this role, on-site parking isn''t available. The business are easily accessible on public transport links in Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire with parking nearby at reduced cost. You are required to be in the office just 2 days per week due to the hybrid set-up.*
