Based in Chorley, Lancashire, they are currently seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a permanent opportunity offering hybrid working. Working hours are 8.45am 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 9.00am 4.00pm on Fridays. THE ROLE The Assistant Management Accountant will support the Finance Manager in managing financial data, enhancing financial processes, and delivering accurate and timely services to both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: Key Accountabilities Financial Operations: Review weekly payment runs, manage month-end journal postings, oversee purchase orders, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations. Budgeting and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, VAT returns, and provide financial analysis to aid departmental planning. Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline financial systems, ensure accurate recording of service charges, rents, and leases, and track value-for-money across budgets. Audit and Compliance: Prepare financial reports, support audit processes, and uphold compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
