Assistant Logistics Manager
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an Assistant Logistics Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a newly created role to support the Technical Resource Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience ideally in technical asset management, inventory control, logistics or resource management within an engineering, operational, defence or similar environment. You will be responsible for overseeing goods in and goods out processes, so a good understanding of export documentation and procedures is preferred. Duties include packaging and preparation of high value equipment for shipment. The successful candidate will be a highly organised and proactive individual with strong attention to detail, particularly when managing documentation, audit trails and compliance records. Occasionally, you may be required to drive company vehicles to transport equipment between sites, therefore a full UK driving licence is required. Key duties: Support inbound and outbound logistics, including booking in, booking out, allocation, returns and asset tracking across internal locations and customer sites. Support the management of storage facilities, ensuring appropriate handling, storage, packaging and security controls for company and customer assets. Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset registers and databases, ensuring traceability, compliance and audit readiness.
