Assistant General Manager

The role: A leading property company is seeking an Assistant General Manager a large Build-to-Rent development in Manchester. The Assistant General Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting the overall operational success of the development. Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager helps oversee daily operations, leads the front-of-house team, and contributes to delivering high occupancy and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a General Manager position. Responsibilities: Support the General Manager in developing and implementing operational processes. Assist in hiring, onboarding and managing staff. Line manage a team of Resident Services professionals. Play an active role in the lease-up strategy, monitoring retention levels and highlighting any common trends or overall improvement areas. Deliver exceptional customer service experience. Manage resident communications across multiple channels. Ensure all resident issues, service requests and complaints are resolved pro-actively and in line with SLA times. Review resident feedback. Ensure compliance with all statutory HandS legislation. Work closely with in-house Maintenance Operatives to ensure weekly and monthly compliance checks are completed, actions addressed and recorded. Conduct regular site inspections. Oversee contractors and permit-to-work protocols. Oversee vacant apartment turnarounds including instruction of maintenance works. ..... full job details .....
