OverviewMy client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk Consultant to join a supportive team based in central Cardiff.

RequirementsIt is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Modelling or Hydraulic Modelling and ideally experience completing flood risk assessments or hydraulic modelling.

Responsibilities

Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications

Flood Estimation using ReFH and Winfap

Rainfall Analysis

Hydrology, Hydrogeological and Environmental Chapters for EIAs

Hydraulic Modelling, Model Build and Verification using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow

Hydrological and Hydrogeological modelling

Drainage Modelling using Causeway

GIS Mapping

Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications

Site visits for water monitoring
