Assistant Financial Accountant

Our client, is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, robust controls and statutory compliance across its standalone company and overseas entities. This is a permanent opportunity for a finance professional with experience in month-end accounting, reconciliations and VAT compliance.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, provisions and other accounting adjustments.Support the timely completion of month-end close processes, management accounts and financial reporting.Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.Monitor aged balances and ensure supporting documentation is complete, accurate and audit-ready.Prepare periodic VAT returns, maintain indirect tax records and support VAT audits and tax authority enquiries.Assist with external and internal audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations and supporting evidence.Support compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, company policies and regulatory requirements.Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis, assist with statutory accounts preparation and maintain accurate financial records.Job Requirements:Part-qualified accountant studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or an equivalent qualification, or qualified by experience.Experience in month-end accounting processes, journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.Understanding of VAT principles, indirect tax ..... full job details .....
