Assistant Financial Accountant

My client based in Letchworth is seeking a new Assistant Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to grow your career and learn from experienced Finance professionals. 

The role:

• To assist the Head of Finance with balance sheet reconciliations
• Responsibility for maintaining and updating the Fixed asset register 
• Completing and posting journals 
• Assisting with budgets and forecasting 
• Assisting with year end audit 
• Assist the Finance Business Partner with maintaining and processing journals for the monthly management accounts
• Completion of company VAT return 
• Undertaking accounts preparation for managed organisations 

• Experience of book-keeping and balance sheet reconciliations
• Responsibility for maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and processing entries for depreciation, additions and disposals
• Experience of advanced Excel functions such as VLookup and pivot tables
• Ability to work as a team member and on own initiative to plan and manage workload
• Flexible approach to duties and working arrangements
• Part Qualified/Studying CIMA/ACCA.
