Assistant Finance Manager

My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude. The successful candidate will provide administrative and financial support primarily to the Finance Manager and Accounts Manager, playing a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The office is based in LS25 and you must drive due to location.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and manage the Purchase LedgerProcess supplier payments in a timely and accurate mannerRaise and issue Sales InvoicesMonitor and follow up on outstanding customer paymentsIdentify and resolve discrepancies across financial documentationUpdate and maintain internal financial spreadsheetsReconcile bank and credit card transactionsSupport the preparation of management accounts and month-end closing dutiesPost journal entries as requiredAssist both the Procurement Manager and Finance Manager with financial and administrative tasksEssential Skills and Experience:Proven experience in a finance or accounts-based roleUnderstanding of VAT rules and treatmentsExperience with SAGE 50 (desirable)Strong IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft ExcelHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced ..... full job details .....
