Assistant Facades Manager

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an Assistant Facades Manager to join a leading main contractor delivering a prestigious residential development in Henley-on-Thames. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional with a strong fa-ades or external envelope background looking to develop their career on a high-quality residential scheme.

Working alongside the Facades Manager and Project Manager, you will assist in the successful delivery of all external envelope packages, ensuring works are completed safely, to programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Facades Manager in the day-to-day management of fa-ade and external envelope works.
• Coordinate fa-ade subcontractors and ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme.
• Monitor installation of fa-ade elements including brickwork, SFS, windows, curtain walling, balconies, roofing, cladding and fire barriers where applicable.
• Carry out regular quality inspections and manage snagging and defect resolution.
• Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, NHBC standards and Building Control requirements.
• Review RAMS and ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to on site.
• Assist with short-term programming, look-ahead planning and progress reporting.
• Liaise with the design, commercial and logistics teams to resolve technical and sequencing issues.
• Maintain accurate QA records, photographic evidence and site documentation.
• Attend subcontractor meetings and support coordination of all external works packages.

Requirements

• Previous experience working on residential projects with responsibility for fa-ade or external envelope packages.
• Strong knowledge of fa-ade systems including brickwork, SFS, cladding, windows, balconies and roofing.
• Good understanding of quality assurance, sequencing and programme management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical details.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• CSCS Card essential.
• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.
• First Aid qualification desirable.
