Assistant Estimator(Refurbishment)

We''re looking for a commercially minded individual to analyse costs versus income, prepare valuations and payment applications, manage variations, and optimise contract terms to protect margin, cash flow, and risk. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Estimator with a construction background who''s confident working with numbers, navigating sites, and engaging with stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.Support senior estimators with quantity take-offs and cost analysis.Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.Maintain estimating databases, cost records, and project files.Attend site visits (as required) to collect relevant data.Learn company estimating software, systems, and methods.Essential:Genuine interest in construction, quantity surveying, or estimating.Strong numerical and analytical ability.Excellent attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.Good communication and teamwork skills.Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.Requirements:HND/HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction/Commercial Management (or near completion).1-2+ years'' experience in a Estimating/QS/Assistant QS role within constructionCSCS card.(Desirable)Full UK driving licenceContact ..... full job details .....
