Assistant Estimator - Kent About the role of Assistant EstimatorLooking for a Assistant Estimator to work on long term commercial build refurbishments and steel frame structures.Responsible for overseeing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission.Working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teamsProduce accurate, competitive, and commercially sound tenders. Responsibilities of Assistant EstimatorPrepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.Attend site visits, tender interviews, and client meetings.Work collaboratively with the pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams.Assess project risks and opportunities during the tender process.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and supply chain pricing.Support and mentor junior estimators where appropriate. Requirements of Assistant EstimatorStrong commercial awareness and excellent analytical skills.Experience pricing a range of construction projects.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.Full UK driving licence.If you want to hear more about ..... full job details .....
