Assistant Estimator - Cladding & Fa-ades

Location - Manchester

Salary/Package - -30,000 - -40,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

Our client is a growing specialist contractor operating within the fa-ade, cladding, and building envelope sector, delivering high-quality external envelope solutions across the UK. Working with leading main contractors, developers, and clients, they provide a complete service from design and pre-construction through to installation, successfully delivering technically challenging projects across the commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and industrial sectors.

As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join their pre-construction team and develop a long-term career within the cladding and fa-ades industry.

As Assistant Estimator, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for cladding and fa-ade projects

• Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

• Producing quantity take-offs and assisting with cost plans

• Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors

• Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and pricing schedules

• Assisting with value engineering exercises and identifying cost-saving opportunities

• Working closely with the estimating, commercial, and design teams throughout the tender process

• Maintaining accurate tender documentation and estimating records

• Building strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients

• Supporting project handovers to the commercial and operational teams following successful tenders

The successful Assistant Estimator will have:

• Previous experience in an estimating, quantity surveying, or construction support role

• Experience within cladding, fa-ades, roofing, glazing, or the wider construction industry would be advantageous

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• The ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel

• Relevant construction, estimating, or quantity surveying qualifications would be advantageous

• Competitive basic salary of -30,000 - -40,000
