Assistant Electrical Technical Manager

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in inspection, testing and compliance? A leading Facilities Management provider is seeking an Electrical Authorised Person (AP) in Portsmouth to support the safe and compliant operation of critical electrical infrastructure.
The Role As the Electrical Authorised Person, you’ll:

• Carry out periodic inspection and testing of LV electrical installations.
• Produce EICRs, Minor Works and electrical installation certificates.
• Support the maintenance of HV and LV distribution systems.
• Manage electrical compliance records through the CAFM system.
• Provide technical support for complex electrical faults.
• Manage specialist contractors, RAMS and permits to work.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671, HTMs and relevant safety legislation.
• Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.

You To be successful, you’ll bring:

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong electrical inspection, testing and fault-finding experience.
• Experience with LV distribution systems and switchgear.
• Good knowledge of electrical compliance and safe systems of work.

LV/HV Authorised Person and critical environment experience would be advantageous.
