About the Team The Structural Economics team is at the core of the Treasury''s function as an economics Ministry, providing economic analysis, briefing and policy advice on the issues facing the UK economy. We play a central role in analysing developments in the economy and risks to the outlook. The team leads on our macroeconomic advice on labour market policy; regional analysis; the supply side of the economy; and human capital and migration; climate economics and general equilibrium modelling. About the Job In this role, you will: Lead analytical projects on longer-term and structural issues facing the UK economy, responding to economic and policy priorities through managing and delivering impactful analysis and advice. Lead on application and development of HM Treasury''s overlapping generations model (UK OLG) across a range of policy issues. UK OLG is a recent addition to the team''s modelling toolkit and is used for the analysis of the impact of shocks, trends and policies on the UK macroeconomy in the long term. It provides a framework for general equilibrium analysis which reflects the way households change their behaviour over their lifecycle.
