Assistant Driller

Our client is looking to add an Assistant Driller to their cross-sector team. This permanent role involves supporting the lead driller on a variety of projects using a range of drilling techniques. If you have a background in geology and a hands-on approach, this role could be the perfect opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities:Assisting in the drilling of cable percussive, rotary boreholes, or mini rig boreholesHand digging trial pitsSampling and labelling of soil, rock, and groundwater samplesDriving a 4x4 vehicle and towing rigs/trailersWorking outdoors in various weather conditions across different locationsFollowing detailed specifications for site workMaintaining effective communication with the lead driller, site engineers, and project managersContributing to the maintenance and development of management systems for drilling equipment and site operationsJob Requirements:Experience in geology or a related fieldFull driving licence with a licence to tow preferredCSCS certificationLevel 2 NVQ in Land DrillingStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentPrepared to work outdoors in varying conditionsStrong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with clients and colleaguesBenefits:Permanent position with opportunities for professional developmentExposure to diverse projects across various sectorsSupportive team environmentProfessional training and career advancement ..... full job details .....
