Assistant Director - Housing Asset Investment and Building Safety Newham, London £950 per day Umbrella Hybrid Working Initial 6-Month Contract We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director - Housing Asset Investment and Building Safety to provide strategic leadership across housing asset management, building safety, compliance assurance and long-term investment planning. This is a high-profile interim opportunity for an accomplished housing leader to shape and drive a regulator-ready asset management and building safety function across a large and complex housing portfolio. The Role Reporting to the Director of Housing Services, you will lead the strategic approach to housing asset investment, building safety, compliance assurance and asset intelligence. You will be responsible for overseeing significant investment programmes, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing assurance to senior leadership, Members and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities Lead housing asset investment and building safety strategy across a substantial housing portfolio. Provide senior oversight of compliance with the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety legislation and wider regulatory requirements. Drive long-term asset management planning, including 5-year and 30-year investment strategies. Lead building safety assurance, risk management and regulatory readiness.
