Assistant Development Chef This is a successful family-owned food manufacturing organisation which has grown rapidly and aspires to accelerate this growth over the coming years. Currently a single-site operation, there are plans to move to multi-site to manage the increasing demand. This exciting new role brings with it the opportunity to work closely with the CEO and members of the senior team to develop and drive the people strategy to ensure success of the organisation with the growth plans in place. About the job As Assistant Development Chef you will be assisting the NPD Development Chef in creating new products through demand and innovation whilst maintaining the high standards that the company are famous for. Your expertise will be used to work on specific briefs as well as originating menu ideas to target new business. Key tasks Deliver recipes that align with the company strategy whilst ensuring consistency, quality and manufacturability. Manage new product projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring key milestones are achieved. Monitor new recipes and production processes to maintain quality standards and process compliance across both development and factory operations. Keep abreast of emerging food trends, flavours and cuisines, using your insights to inspire innovative product development.
