Our projects are delivered by international teams, including colleagues in India.Requirements:We are hiring for Associate Consultants, Engineers, and Modelers in our UK offices, with consideration for exceptional candidates elsewhere. Candidates should have experience in flood risk projects focusing on hydraulic modelling, with the ability to lead technical work and mentor junior staff. Building strong client relationships and collaborative skills are essential.Extensive experience in flood risk analysis for strategy, planning, development, or design, with proven project delivery.Proficiency in 1D-2D modelling tools such as Infoworks ICM, Flood Modeller, TUFLOW/ESTRY, or HEC-RAS, and GIS platforms like ArcGIS, MapInfo, or QGIS. Hydrological assessment experience, including FEH and UK hydrology, is desirable.Leadership experience in developing technical teams.Ability to make robust decisions based on data and information.Chartered status is highly valued, and we support professional development to achieve and maintain memberships with institutions like ICE and CIWEM. Civil engineering design experience related to flooding is a plus but not mandatory.Responsibilities:Perform detailed technical work including hydraulic modelling, data analysis, GIS, and reporting, ensuring quality assurance.Manage and supervise junior team members and support project managers with financial and change control tasks.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide integrated client services.Support business development activities, including tendering and stakeholder engagement.Contribute to the development of the Flood Risk Team through active participation in technical networks.The individual should:Be motivated and committed to technical excellence.Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration.Be adaptable and open to new challenges.Be well-organized, capable of managing multiple projects, and supportive of team development.Maintain high standards with attention to detail.Training:We offer comprehensive development programs, mentoring, and support for professional memberships.
