Assistant Catering Contract Manager

Are you an experienced Assistant Catering Manager, Catering Manager or School Catering Manager looking for your next opportunity? We''re recruiting for an Assistant Catering Contract Manager to oversee catering operations across school sites in Somerset.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Facilities Management provider, supporting the delivery of high-quality catering services while working Monday to Friday during term time.

The Role
 
As the Assistant Catering Contract Manager, you will:

• Support the day-to-day management of school catering operations.
• Oversee catering teams, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service.
• Monitor Health & Safety, food hygiene and compliance across multiple school sites.
• Attend client meetings and build strong relationships with school stakeholders.
• Support staffing, recruitment and training where required.
• Provide operational support, including occasional hands-on catering during busy periods.
• Assist with financial and operational performance across the contract.

About You
 
To be successful as the Assistant Catering Contract Manager, you''ll have:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Catering Manager, Catering Manager or Catering Supervisor.
• Experience managing catering operations within education, healthcare or contract catering.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or be willing to undergo one).
• Strong knowledge of Food Safety and allergen management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• IOSH Managing Safely and Level 3 Food Safety qualifications are desirable.
