Salary: -30,000 - -35,000 per year + Training & Development

Are you organised, detail-oriented, and enjoy streamlining processes? As an Assistant Buyer, you''ll play a key role in ensuring efficient order management across our sites and ERP systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, family-owned business that''s growing at pace. You''ll manage day-to-day material and plant orders in a fast-paced, reactive environment, build supplier relationships, drive cost-reducing activities, and support continuous improvement across the business.

Danaher & Walsh is a reputable Civil Engineering business specialising in infrastructure, public projects and utilities, operating primarily across the central parts of England. This role comes with genuine self-sufficiency and real scope to grow and develop as the company expands.

Key responsibilities:

• Raise and issue material and plant orders based on specifications
• Assist with the Lean procurement process
• Work within a team and support other departments
• Maintain and build new supplier relationships
• Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous buying/procurement experience
• Background in Engineering, Construction, Utilities, Civils or Infrastructure
• Proficient in Microsoft packages
• Strong phone manner
• Ability to prioritise effectively
