Assistant Building Surveyor

Our client is a growing multi-disciplinary property consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality surveying and consultancy services across the UK. Working with a broad range of public and private sector clients, they provide innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their Birmingham office. The successful candidate will assist in delivering a range of building surveying services across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the UK. Working alongside experienced surveyors and multi-disciplinary teams, you will gain exposure to both professional and project-based work while developing your technical skills.

Duties will include:

• Assisting with building condition surveys and preparing detailed reports
• Supporting the preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, schedules of work, and drawings
• Assisting with tender submissions, contractor assessments, and the preparation of JCT contracts
• Attending pre-contract meetings and supporting project handovers
• Carrying out site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance
• Attending client and project meetings
• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Travelling to project sites and client locations as required

• Degree in Building Surveying or relevant industry experience
• Working towards chartership
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
