Annual Salary: Up to £46,000 (Including bonus)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Bodyshop Manager:
- Support the Bodyshop Manager in the day-to-day running of the accident repair centre
- Have knowledge of Vehicle Damage Assessing
- Assist in leading and motivating workshop, paint, MET, and front-of-house teams to achieve operational targets
- Ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to manufacturer and company standards
- Monitor workshop productivity, quality, and profitability, taking corrective action where required
- Help manage vehicle workflow, repair progress, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers, insurers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Support recruitment, training, and development of bodyshop personnel
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Assist in achieving key performance indicators relating to productivity, cycle time, quality, and profitability
Qualifications and Skills for an Assistant Bodyshop Manager:
- Proven experience within an Accident Repair Centre in a supervisory, team leader, workshop controller, or management position
- Strong understanding of bodyshop operations, repair processes, and manufacturer repair standards
- Experience managing teams and driving performance within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to effectively prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Commercial awareness with a focus on efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Competent IT skills and experience using bodyshop management systems
Desirable
- ATA accreditation or relevant automotive qualifications as a Vehicle Damage Assessor
- IMI, NVQ, or SVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant automotive discipline
- Previous experience in an Assistant Bodyshop Manager role
- Full UK driving licence
