Assistant Acoustic ConsultantLocation: BirminghamSalary: 28,000 - 32,000 An established and growing environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an Assistant Acoustic Consultant to join its Birmingham team.This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a background in Physics, Mathematics or a closely related numerical/scientific discipline who has developed a genuine interest in acoustics and would like to build a long-term career within the industry.You do not need previous acoustic consultancy experience. The successful candidate will receive support and training from experienced consultants while gaining hands-on exposure to a broad variety of environmental and acoustic projects across the UK.The RoleWorking alongside experienced acoustic consultants, you will gradually develop your technical knowledge and take responsibility for a variety of project work.Your duties will include:Assisting with environmental noise surveys and assessmentsUndertaking noise monitoring dutiesTravelling to client sites and project locations across the UKSetting up, collecting and analysing acoustic monitoring equipment and dataSupporting noise impact assessments for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure developmentsAssisting with acoustic calculations and acoustic modellingPreparing technical reports and presenting findings clearlyReviewing planning information, site layouts and relevant noise guidanceAs your experience develops, you will be encouraged to ..... full job details .....
