Management Accountant / Assistant Finance ManagerLocation: Barking Salary: 50,000 - 52,000 per annum Reporting to: Finance Manager Department: FinanceAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team in Barking. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the Finance Manager with the delivery of accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance, and business partnering activities.The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, providing meaningful management information, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and supporting analysis within agreed deadlines.Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.Produce balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.Deliver detailed variance analysis and provide commentary to senior management.Manage fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and lease accounting records.Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring effective controls and processes.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.Support external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and external ..... full job details .....
