Assistant Accountant/Accounts Assistant

We are partnering with a growing and well-established business to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their collaborative finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their accounting experience and gain wider exposure across month-end, reporting and management accounting activities within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting month-end processes and management accounting activities
• Preparing journals, accruals and prepayments
• Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing supplier payments and purchase ledger processes
• Supporting invoicing and credit control activities
• Assisting with financial reporting and analysis
• Supporting audit and year-end requirements
• Contributing to finance projects and process improvements

About You

• Previous experience within an Accounts related role, minimum 6 months
• Keen to commence studies (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail
• A proactive and organised approach to work
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a business
• A genuine desire to develop a long-term career within finance
