An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing business that forms part of a larger group. You''ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day finance function of a subsidiary, working autonomously while benefiting from the support and stability of a wider group finance structure. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys high-volume transactional accounting and is confident managing the accounts through to Trial Balance. Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of the finance function for a standalone group subsidiary. Manage high-volume sales ledger, including invoicing, cash allocation and customer account reconciliations. Oversee the purchase ledger, processing supplier invoices and preparing payment runs. Carry out credit control and maintain strong customer relationships. Post and reconcile journal entries, including accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments.
