Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established and successful business based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to take ownership of the transactional finance function, overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control across a diverse portfolio of key clients and accounts. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you''ll become their right-hand person within the transactional finance team, taking ownership of the day-to-day function and providing valuable support, allowing the Finance Manager to focus on wider financial reporting and strategic priorities. What will you be doing?Perform daily GBP and USD bank reconciliations, including PayPal, Sage Pay and other payment platforms, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.Manage the purchase ledger, processing supplier invoices, credit notes, purchase orders and supplier statements, while resolving invoice queries and disputes.Set up and maintain supplier accounts, verify bank details in line with company procedures, and manage supplier remittances and payment queries.Process weekly, monthly, China and ad hoc supplier payment runs, alongside ..... full job details .....
