Assistant Accountant

Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a permanent Management Accountant to join a fast paced private equity backed business in Newport We are seeking a proactive Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. This role offers a unique blend of core management accounting, commercial analysis, and high-level exposure to board-level reporting. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data while supporting the business through a period of PE-driven growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting and Month-End Management Accounts: Preparation and assistance with monthly management accounts, including prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and all relevant month-end tasks. Fixed Assets and Stock: Full ownership of Fixed Assets, including maintaining the register. Responsible for Creditors and Stock management, including weekly and month-end reporting. Ledger Management: Daily bank reconciliations, postings, and allocations to the AR/AP ledgers. Purchase Ledger Support: Ensuring all manual and 3-way match GRN invoices are processed accurately and timely, in accordance with company finance policies. Reporting and Board Exposure Presentations: Assist in preparation and delivery of both Board presentations and Budget presentations. Group and International: Assisting with group consolidations and the management of International accounts.
