Birkenhead £30,000 - £35,000 + BenefitsWe are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team of a well-established manufacturing company based in Skinhead.This is a varied and hands-on opportunity suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of finance and is confident managing day-to-day accounting processes. The role is ideal for candidates with strong payroll and purchase ledger experience who are looking to broaden their accounting exposure and continue developing within a supportive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOwnership and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely completionFull purchase ledger responsibility, including supplier reconciliations and payment runsAssisting with month-end close, journals, and balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting the preparation of management accountsHandling a range of ad hoc finance and accounting tasks across the departmentWorking closely with senior finance colleagues to support reporting and financial controlsThe Ideal CandidatePrevious experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance roleStrong background in payroll and purchase ledgerComfortable working within a varied role and managing changing prioritiesHighly organised with strong attention to detailReliable, proactive, and able to work effectively within a team environmentSalary and Benefits£30,000 - £35,000 salary, depending on experienceOpportunity to gain exposure across a broad range of finance ..... full job details .....
