Assistant Accountant

I''m currently recruiting for an Interim Assistant Accountant to support a well-established distribution business based in Garretts Green. This is a long-term interim opportunity, offering hybrid working and a steady, hands-on role within a supportive finance team.The role:Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Interim Assistant Accountant will support day-to-day finance operations and assist with month-end reporting.Key responsibilities will include:Assisting with month-end close, including journals and accrualsBalance sheet reconciliationsSupporting management accounts preparationBank reconciliations and cash postingsAssisting with VAT and statutory reporting where requiredSupporting Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger as neededAd-hoc finance analysis and reportingThe ideal candidate:Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar interim finance roleConfident with journals, reconciliations and month-end processesStrong Excel skills and experience using finance systemsComfortable working in a fast-paced distribution or operational environmentAvailable for a long-term interim assignmentThis is a great opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking for interim stability, hybrid flexibility and exposure within a commercially focused distribution business.Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
