Assistant Accountant

RG Consultancy are working with a company based in Bolton who are looking to add a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional who''s ready to take ownership of key accounting duties and support the wider finance function in a hands-on role.Key Responsibilities:Assist with preparation of monthly management accountsAccruals, prepayments, and journal postingsBalance sheet reconciliationsMaintain the fixed asset registerVAT returns and compliance supportSupport year-end processes and liaise with auditorsProvide insight and reporting to help with financial decision-makingAssist with budgeting and forecasting activitiesIdeal Candidate:Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar roleAAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA (or qualified by experience)Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar)Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principlesHigh attention to detail and excellent organisational skillsProactive attitude and a team playerThey offer:Study support for ACCA/CIMA (if desired)25 days holiday + bank holidaysHybrid working (after probation)Pension ContributionsCycle to work ..... full job details .....
