Assistant Accountant

RG Consultancy are proud to be collaborating with a successful and well-established Motor trade company in order to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider finance team, you will support the preparation of monthly accounts, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Complete bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.Reconcile key accounts including stock, payroll, VAT, and grants.Support the month-end close process and reporting requirements.Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.Assist with budgeting and monitoring business performance.Support the Finance Manager and wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks.Prepare information and schedules for auditors.Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.At least 3 years'' experience in an accounting role.Experience completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.Good Excel skills and experience using accounting systems.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Benefits :Competitive salary25 days annual leaveCycle to Work SchemeFree onsite parkingDeath in servicecompany pension ..... full job details .....
