Assistant Accountant Cambridge (hybrid)£30,000-£33,000 per annum (plus guaranteed bonus)An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Cambridge based technology company for a career focussed and proactive individual to join the large finance team, in the role of Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the division manager, this role forms part of a large team, working together to produce accurate financial data and meaningful reports.Duties to include:Collecting, processing and presenting timely and accurate financial dataPosting of general ledger journal entriesBalance sheet reconciliationInvolvement in month-end closeThis client is looking for candidates with existing accounting experience, and with ideally a good understanding of double entry principles and general ledger accounting. They would like to hear from those with experience in reconciliations, and any exposure to journal entry, accruals / prepayments or balance sheet duties would be advantageous, however not essential. Those with transactional experience seeking a step up will also be considered.Candidates will also ideally possess solid Excel understanding.
