Assistant Accountant

An exciting opportunity for a Dealership Assistant Accountant within the Edinburgh area has arisen for our Motor Trade Client.

Working within a Premium Brand Dealership, the successful Dealership Assistant Accountant will be well versed in providing an exceptional Accounting service.

Requirements:

- Knowledge of DMS System Kerridge
- Experience and Knowledge of the Car Industry
- Highly motivated
- Efficent
- Well organised

Duties:

- Supporting Teams Debt meetings
- Supervising Accounts teams for daily task completion
- Handling VAT return and audit-related tasks
- Assisting in preparing monthly accounts
- Reconciling manufacturer key accounts
- Monitoring sales and purchase ledgers for month-end close
- Ensuring a comprehensive check and balance in the payment process
- Managing accruals, prepayments, and various balance sheet accounts
- Handling intercompany account reconciliations
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Register and Depreciation

Our Client is seeking an Dealership Accountant who has a proven track record within an Accounts Department and ideally hold both Motor Trade and ideally Kerridge or Pinnacle experience.
