Assistant Accountant

An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team on an immediate start basis. This would suit someone with a good grounding in purchase ledger or transactional finance who is looking for a broader role and the opportunity to develop their month-end accounting experience. Working across multiple group companies, you''ll take responsibility for key purchase ledger activities while working closely with the Finance Managers and supporting them with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and other month-end tasks. The role will include:Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate purchase ledger recordsPreparing and processing supplier payment runsMonitoring invoice approvals and resolving outstanding queriesReconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepanciesLiaising with suppliers and internal stakeholdersSupporting bank and control account reconciliationsAssisting the Finance Managers with balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting accruals, prepayments and month-end journalsAssisting with wider month-end reporting as your experience developsSupporting finance process and systems improvementsProviding general support across the wider finance teamYou may be:An experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk looking to broaden your responsibilitiesAn Accounts Assistant looking for greater exposure to month endAn AAT studier or someone looking to begin ACCA or CIMAAlready working as an Assistant Accountant and looking ..... full job details .....
